Description
We have a Tecalor THZ 5.5 ECO heat pump with an integrated ventilation system (there are probably identical models from Stiebel-Eltron as well)
Since the system is installed in the basement, an additional air inlet connection must be present on the ground floor for the supply air, which opens into the back of the ventilation system The manufacturer provides a cutout for connecting a 160mm pipe, but no device that permanently holds the connection So far, I had managed with a brace on the wall and a lot of tape
However, this made the system difficult to maintain
Therefore, I have now designed a connection flange that holds the 160mm pipe with magnets to the back of the ventilation system and can be easily removed if necessary, for example for ventilation maintenance
I installed 6 neodymium magnets, each with 10kg pulling force and dimensions of 25 x 4.5mm, fastened with M4 stainless steel countersunk screws
The inner diameter of the flange is 162mm As shown in the photos, it has a 2mm recess so that the pipe can be fastened with a long pipe clamp This holds very well The pipe's protrusion serves as a centering guide for the rear pipe reception
I printed the flange in PLA I do not expect temperatures above 30°C or UV radiation that could cause permanent damage to the PLA in our basement
My print profile was created for the H2 series If needed, I can check if it would also fit on the 256 build plates
For the support structure for the magnet recesses, I used PETG for the top layer, which makes the supports easier to remove and leaves a smooth surface (see photos)
