Description
A simple, sturdy and easy-to-print wall planter designed specifically for Australian 3-litre milk bottles.
This design lets you recycle a common household container and turn it into a practical indoor or outdoor planter.
Just cut the top off the bottle, drop it into the printed holder, and you’re ready to go. The bottle can be filled with either soil or water, making it great for herbs, cuttings, seedlings, or low-maintenance plants. The planter is easily mounted on the wall with the two keyhole mounting points
Features
- Fits standard Australian 3L milk bottles (the tall rectangular type)
- Zero-support print – beginner friendly
- Includes side inspection window for checking soil dampness or water level
- Strong wall-mount design with two keyhole holes for mounting
- Works as a planter, hydroponic reservoir, or propagation station
- Perfect for balconies, small gardens, garages, or indoor walls
- Originally designed in 2022 – updated colours & improved finish
Printing Notes
- Prints well in PLA or PETG
- No supports required
- Recommended high-infill for mounting strength (20–35%)
I made the first version back in 2022 to reuse a 3-litre milk bottle. It’s been surprisingly durable and handy — so I finally cleaned it up, updated the look, and uploaded it here so others can enjoy it too.
