SMW Fixture Plate Plugs (1/4" and M6)

These 3D-printable fixture plate plugs are compatible with our ¼" and M6 fixture plates.

The plugs are designed to easily slip into the threaded fixturing holes and have a single Higbee-start thread at the top allowing the plugs to tighten in place with only a single turn of a hex wrench (1/8" for ¼" plugs and 3mm for M6 plugs). The small tapered head bottoms out just below the top of the fixture plate for a clean look that won't affect your parts and fixtures. Plugs should only be lightly snugged, otherwise the single thread will strip.

We recommend printing with the hex- or slotted-side down and a layer height smaller than 0.10mm for best results (0.08mm seems to be ideal for the fine details of the thread). We do not recommend printing with a nozzle larger than 0.04mm. A 2mm brim and/or glue stick can help with bed adhesion.
