Description
Easy to print waxing and tuning stand inteded for downhill skis. Rubber or similiar material should be added to improve grip between ski and stand, additionally some rubber can be added between table and the stand. Intended use is to mount these stand to desk using spring clamps. I used 7.5" spring clamps.
In addition there are two wedges, these help to keep ski steady when tuning the edges. One wedge is designed with 6.5mm clearance and other with 5mm clearance, choose one that is closer to your ski width from bottom to top. Printing wedge with large layers (0.3mm and up) may improve friction. Ski binding clearance is 10cm, you can increase this by adding padding if needed.
You will need 2 stands.
I printed stand with 0.34mm layer height, using 0.8mm nozzle, 5 walls and 25% infill. This turned out to be really sturdy and maybe bit overkill.
