Description
My RS7-style front bumper didn’t come with a mount for the silver Audi logo, so I designed my own. I assume it will likely fit other RS-style honeycomb grilles as well, but I’m not completely sure.
I printed the part in ABS on a QIDI Plus 4. For the best strength and finish, it’s ideal to print it in the same orientation as shown in the model photos — side facing up. The only surface that really needs to look good is the honeycomb; the remaining sides are either hidden or sanded afterward.
A bit of post-processing is necessary. The outer brim is visible, so some sanding and painting (or filler/bondo, if you prefer) will improve the final appearance.
As for mounting: since my grille didn’t have enough existing holes, I ended up securing it with zip ties. It might sound questionable, but it holds surprisingly well and isn’t noticeable at all.
I may update this model in the future.
