Description
The cable ties originally supplied with the Trak Racer TR160 chassis (version 5) — the small parts that lock into the aluminum profiles with a simple quarter turn — work perfectly on 120 mm profiles, but do not fit correctly on the 160 mm profiles of the main chassis.
Their geometry simply does not allow insertion into this wider section.
I have therefore modeled an improved version of these cable ties, visually cleaner and, above all, perfectly compatible with the 160 mm profiles of the TR160.
The main dimension has been intentionally very precisely adjusted to obtain a firm hold, without play, once the part is locked into the profile.
Depending on your printer and your settings, insertion can be:
- very easy,
- or a little tight.
I recommend printing a single piece for testing, then adjusting the dimension if necessary via the slicer setting:

(+ to tighten, – to loosen).
Out of about twenty prints, it happened that 2 or 3 parts detached during printing, but this remains rare.
These ties are printed and tested in PETG-CF, with excellent mechanical strength.
I took the opportunity to slightly improve the overall design, for a cleaner appearance and more pleasant handling.
