Description
The Withering Nun of the Twin Flames is a darkly whimsical, Burton-inspired gothic maquette depicting a nun caught between life and death. Her face is calm and trance-like, as if she exists in a state suspended between fading breath and lingering spirit.
She holds two organic rose-shaped torches—yet one of them is not held by her hand, but by a strange tendril emerging from her own body. This reveals her uncanny nature: she is no longer entirely human. Her hands themselves are elongated, root-like growths, wrapped protectively around a pulsing, heart-shaped cluster at her chest.
Her gown and base have a wax-like, melting texture, as though she is slowly dripping out of the physical world. The entire figure embodies themes of devotion, decay, and transformation.
