To prevent loose joints, I’ve increased the ball joint radius by 0.05mm.
As a result, some armor parts have also been slightly adjusted to match the new dimensions.

🤖 Proto9 – Official Version 1.0 Released!
Hey friends!
The official Proto9 v1.0 is finally here!
I’ve made a lot of improvements based on feedback and my own experience while building various characters.
🔧 What’s New?
- Reworked almost all armor parts (except the head) to clean up messy geometry
- Adjusted frame lengths for better proportions and fit
- Due to the extensive changes, v1.0 is not compatible with previous character frames or armor—thanks for understanding!
🧩 Kit Card Version Added!
For those who prefer kit card-style printing, I’ve added a dedicated profile.
Just a heads-up: if even one part fails during printing, you can’t skip it—so please use it in a well-calibrated environment.
It’s been cold lately, and even I’ve had some print failures 😅
🖨 Print Tips
- The main profile includes brims on fragile parts to help with adhesion
- A clean, easy-to-follow manual is included for the first time
- Check out the YouTube video showing how to assemble using the kit card—it’s not hard!
If you tried the prototype and didn’t love it, that’s totally okay—Dummy 13 is more popular and has more to enjoy.
But if you’re curious, give Proto9 v1.0 a shot!
