Description

UPDATE:
I've cleaned up the geometry of the base part, as well as optimising material usage without sacrificing strength.

UPDATE:

I have added a shell casing that retrospectively works with the existing base - this was an important design goal so that all existing prints of the base aren't redundant! You can simply push the base into the shell and the tabs hold it in place. To release the base, you can pull at one side of the shell while pushing through the cut-out at the top and it pops out (see video)

Forget the flat, predictable grids of the past! Prepare to have your mind warped by this stunning 3D Tic-Tac-Toe model! I've taken the classic game and exploded it into three dimensions, creating a 3x3x3 cube where the strategies are infinite and the winning lines run in every direction. This isn't just a game board; it's a beautifully rendered puzzle that demands spatial thinking and cunning strategy. Can you see the winning line hidden in the depths of the cube?

Rules:

  1. Goal: The first player to get three of their markers in a straight line wins.
  2. The Board: The game is played on a 3x3x3 grid, which is effectively three 3x3 boards stacked on top of each other. This creates 27 total possible spaces (cells).
  3. Players and Markers: There are two players, designated 'X' and 'O'.
  4. Gameplay:
    1. Players take turns placing one of their markers into any unoccupied cell on the 3x3x3 grid.
    2. Markers cannot be moved once placed.
  5. Winning Conditions: A player wins by achieving a line of three of their markers.

This can be achieved on a single plane (standard win condition of O's & X's) or across all three planes (either diagonally or vertically).

  6. Draw: If all 27 cells are filled and neither player has achieved three-in-a-row, the game is a draw.

That's awesome! I was thinking about some sort of storage for it. Great job. If it's a 3rd parties design, does that mean it can't be added to this models print profile?

Certainly, you just have to wait till after Christmas once my husband opens it 😀 I didn't want to risk taking a picture beforehand and having the surprise ruined. The print turned out great, printed in bronze and silver so it looks almost identical to the original.

That's great, as soon as I have time, I'll check the box. I thought it would be interesting to put together a kit.
