Description

Well …..I Decided to create something that I believe there is a need for . Being an Avid Retro Game enthusiast I recently purchased the much anticipated Atari Gamestation Go . The community has really embraced this portable gaming unit that you can add  additional games to using a SD card. I was however very disappointed  to see the lack of available storage containers for these devices to keep them protected. What is currently available is very lackluster in design and generic . My new found spare time consumer:) …..3D printing  has helped me create many things such as Retro GameSpaces which are a depiction of retro arcade games from the 80's. Well with this case  I decided to go outside of my comfort zone a bit and try my hand at designing a storage case for the Gamestation Go . I did use a parametric  case designer from on Makerworld  from: Hugo Thank you!…you made the hard part easy .

For the basic case design  but then added the Case lid  with an  Inset of  220 mm x 120mm x 2mm to allow for a custom plates to be created and added . I have included with my design a total of 8 different plates using several remixes of the graphic I created  .As time permits I will add additional design plates . I already have multiple retro-game spaces that I designed posted  on maker world  that could  be repurposed and used to make a custom lid plate . Since I have been working on 3D designs basically only for a few months now ,I am getting more proficient every day, but by no means an expert not even close . I would love to see some remixes out there of this design or even plate designs. I tried to be conscious of things such as print time, material consumption and customizability. The case size was not made to squeeze every millimeter I could to fit it in the smallest size  possible ,but you can fit a custom spinner seen in photo and a USB-C charging cable . I am sure there is some gifted modelers out there that can add all kinds of things Please feel free to recompose and Share with others. I hope this model is helpful for those seeking a storage solution. Enjoy!
