The FENOMENO filament guide is a 3D printed accessory designed to optimize the operation of the Bambu Lab AMS 2 PRO , improving filament flow and management during material changes. 

( I DO NOT GUARANTEE COMPATIBILITY WITH AMS FIRST VERSION!!!!!!) 

Its structure integrates three white PTFE rollers, which guide the filament along the path smoothly and controlled.
During retraction, the system maintains the correct tension and allows the filament to rewind snugly and neatly onto the spool, preventing tangles or jams.

  • Smooth sliding: the PTFE rollers eliminate friction on the filament path ( MAKE SURE THEY ROTATE!!! TO EASILY CHECK, MAKE A DOT WITH A BLACK MARKER AND IT WILL BE NOTICED IF THEY ROTATE WELL)
  •  Perfect rewinding: during AMS retraction, the filament returns to the spool regularly and compactly.
  •  Difficult spool management: helps to untangle slightly sticky or glued filaments, typical of poorly wound or stored spools (e.g., too hot during production) IT HAS HAPPENED TO ME!!!!
  • N.B. IF YOU INSERT A SPOOL WITH TANGLED FILAMENT, IT WILL NOT BE UNTANGLED AND THE AMS WILL JAM…..
  • Robust and personalized design: body in technical PLA or PETG, with the embossed lettering “FENOMENO” as the project signature.

     

  • Assembly: Assembly must be carried out with calm, precision, and attention to detail.
  • Only one component needs to be glued (use a suitable glue for 3D plastic, specific glue for PLA/PETG) FOLLOWING GUIDE HOLES AND DIRECTION AS IN PHOTOS
  • The three PTFE rollers must rotate freely, so they should not be glued and cut precisely with a suitable tube cutter, WITHOUT CRUSHING THE ENDS.
  • Leave a small space at the sides of the stops to avoid friction, the rollers must turn easily.
  • To secure the rollers, insert a short piece of filament into the prepared holes, which will act as a pivot pin. For easy insertion into the holes, cut the piece of filament from the spool diagonally so that it resembles a needle and it will enter more easily.
  • cut the excess and protruding filament (flush with the main piece)
  • FOLLOW THE ATTACHED PHOTOS TO FULLY UNDERSTAND THE ASSEMBLY. IF YOU HAVE ANY DOUBTS, WRITE TO ME.
