Steam Desk Charging Cable Mount

I've been using the super handy Steam Deck mount from Tom here: https://makerworld.com/en/models/1290521-steam-desk-an-under-desk-steam-deck-mount#profileId-1320724 and been loving it. My biggest annoyance is the challenge of charging it and sliding it in and managing the charging cable. So I decided to design a mount to hold the FACTORY charging cable firmly in place while still allowing it to be removed and replaced if needed for travel. You can slide the steam deck into the holder as normal and once it touches the USBC cable end, a gentle push easily slides the cable in and starts charging. To remove I like to reach back and put a finger on either side of the cable and gently pull straight out.

The cable has 3 diameters so install as described below:

• Slide the skinniest part of the cable through the side side slot, near the end of the plug
• Gently PUSH the cable from the front into the hole towards the rear until it starts to get snug
• Finally pinch the rear of the mount and front portion of the cable until it seats flush with the mount

Now that you have the cable in the mount, you can attach to your desk. To do so:

• Place your Steam Deck into the holder to the rear
• Plug the cable (inside the mount) into the Steam Deck and mark the two mounting holes with a pencil
• Remove the Steam Deck and place your screws at the FRONT of the holes you just marked and secure the mount

Thats it, the Steam Deck should slide to the very back of the mount and smoothly plug into the cable and mount!

Please don't modify the print settings, as I tested with more walls and infill and it makes securing the cable too difficult, the included settings will FIRMLY hold the cable for normal use and not damage it during installation.
