Description

🌿 Sprout Box – Green Onion Propagator

Designed by a home grower who got tired of jars on the windowsill, this little planter is a simple, clean way to regrow store-bought green onions. It’s compact, modern, and makes it easy to keep fresh onions on your counter or windowsill.

🧩 What’s Included

Grow Lid — Holds up to 8 green onions. The open slots keep the bulbs steady while the roots grow down into the water.

Water Reservoir — A smooth, easy-to-print base with rounded corners and a ribbed exterior. Available in two sizes: a larger reservoir for fewer water changes, or a smaller one to save time and filament.

🌱 How It Works

  1. Save the white bulb ends (about 1").
  2. Drop them into the lid so the roots touch the water.
  3. Set in sunlight or under a grow light.
  4. Change the water weekly.

New shoots usually appear within a few days, and you can keep harvesting as they regrow.

🧰 Printing Tips

  • Supports: Comes in a support-free version and a supported version.
    • No-supports prints faster but may leave small artifacts.
    • Supported prints come out cleaner.
  • Material: PLA or PETG both work well.
  • Fit: Lid and base press together firmly — no glue needed.
  • Style: Try mixing colors for a nice two-tone look.
