Description

Another whimsical Christmas take, this time featuring the GRINCH  on the traditional mini tumber chapstick holder.  Still holds the same chapstick, medicine, money, coins, or whatever you need as a keychain or bag ring.

This is my take on it, includes a screw on hat!  Its printed in multiple pieces to ensure the best quality of each piece of the item.  I recommend printing multiples on a plate due to color changes.

Since this is techincally a 5 color print, I  have made the eyes RED in the print for 4 color setups.  You can load the yellow at first, and once the eyes print, remove the yellow and switch to your red color for the suit.  There is plenty of time to make the switch as it's printing the body.

When aligning the threads to the cap, adjust the inner seam so that it points to the edge of the ball on his cap.

Additional requires:

  • superglue to assemble
  • a metal braided keyring that can be purchased from amazon.

it says it takes 16 hours to print 😳 how long did it take you to do this? I feel like the color switching would be crazy!

I think that was about right and you’re correct, there’s a lot of poop waste LOL so be sure your poop bin can handle it so it doesn’t back up and cause issues. The extra time it took to print 10 vs 1 was worth it though. this is one of those I just let run all day.

I haven’t printed a bin yet so my poop is just going into a bucket underneath or occasionally flies out and sticks to the wall 🤣 I bet making a bunch is definitely the best bet! they’re adorable!!

I really want to print this, but I have orca slicer so I need the STL file. The 3mf file gives me a lot or errors. I have found that if I load the stl then the 3mf in the same plate it removes all errors and lets me print. Do you have a stl file or does anyone know of a different way to make 3mf files work in orca slicer?

export the object to stl from orca and load it on a new project. the errors are because options dont cross between orca and bambu studio.

Best to print an entire plate on non tool changers. The majority of that time is switching between white and black

Gave to a couple of friends for christmas, they loved them. Easy to print on my H2D and the detail was perfectly crisp.
