Description

My guitar didn't have a strap button. Since I was also a bit hesitant about drilling a hole in a musical instrument, I designed a strap holder to attach the strap to the soundhole. I designed the holder for a 1/2 size guitar for my son, but it should work for other guitars as well.

The angled hook keeps the holder close to the guitar, so it doesn't get in the way while playing.

You could attach one end of the strap to the headstock of the guitar with a strap and the other end to the soundhole with the holder, as shown in the photos. Alternatively, you could use two holders and attach both ends of the strap to the soundhole (I haven't included a picture of this setup). The holder attaches to the guitar strap with a strap.

I also considered a strap button-like attachment point, but that would probably have been quite bothersome while playing.
