Show original

I made this piece to repair the hinge of my laptop's keyboard, as the original had lost its pins. The black component is the printed one and fits correctly into its seat, as well as pairing correctly  with the other part of the original hinge.
Currently, only the pin component has been made, as it is the most prone to breakage.

Printing notes:
If the pins are too long, I recommend gradually shortening them, cutting little by little until the correct size is achieved.
Do not change the printer's resolution settings; otherwise, finer details — especially the pins — may not be reproduced correctly.

Settings and materials:

  • Printer: Bambu Lab A1
  • Material: PLA Basic (Black)

I advise against using PLA Matte, but PETG can be used with due care.

Process notes

Result obtained after a series of tests until the piece fit correctly. It is not subject to any force, so it does not need to be strong, but dimensional accuracy is necessary.
