Description
magnetic chessboard, dimensions 340x340mm, you need to print the first 2 plates with one color (white), the second 2 with a second color (black), and the last 4 with the color you want for the frame (gray), the colors in parentheses are the ones I used to print the one in the photo.
for assembly, just glue the 4 base parts, glue the magnets into the squares, and glue them in place as well.
64 magnets are needed with a maximum diameter of 16mm and a thickness of 3mm; I used them in exactly this size.
For the pieces, just take an existing model on MakerWorld and modify it by adding a hole to insert the magnet; I recommend a hole distance of 2mm from the base.
I have published on this profile the ones I have already modified, where I used the same magnets as the chessboard.
