Business Card GENERATOR - with QR Code (vCard)

This model allows you to easily create a personalized business card with a QR code in vCard format. With the help of the QR code, contact data can be easily and quickly transferred, for example, to a phone's contact list

A print profile for such a business card by Max Mustermann is available

Special thanks go to xypwn for publishing the scadqr library under the MIT license. With this library, QR codes can be easily created with models based on OpenSCAD

Model Updates:

• 13.11.2025:
  • An additional parameter now allows you to decide whether the text and QR code should be placed on the top or bottom side of the business card

Important Notes:

• The printing of the generated model should be done with a 0.2 nozzle, otherwise both the text and the individual elements of the QR code will not be printed accurately enough, making them unreadable
   
• The font size adjusts to the available space: if the text with the configured font size is too large in the designated area, the font size will be reduced until the text fits completely on the corresponding surface
   

• Whether umlauts like ä, ö, and ü appear correctly depends on the chosen font. With the default font Arial, umlauts appear correctly.

   

• For the business card to be created with personally selected colors, the color scheme must be switched to >>> INDIVIDUAL COLORS <<<.
