Description

This is a replacement gasket/seal for the charging port on the Volkswagen e-Golf. (my car is a 2018 modell)

A common issue with the e-Golf is that the original seal inside the charging port fails over time, allowing moisture to enter. When this happens, the car often refuses to charge, and you’ll usually find that the old seal is wet or damaged. This 3D file provides a way to replace the faulty gasket yourself and restore proper charging function.

Important details:

  • Estimated repair time: 2–4 hours
  • You’ll need to carefully disassemble the charging port to access the internal gasket.
  • You perform this repair at your own risk. Make sure to disconnect power and handle all electrical components safely.

This is a known issue with the e-Golf, and official repair centers (like Møller in Norway) typically charge between 15,000–30,000 NOK for this fix. Hopefully, this 3D model helps others solve the problem themselves and save some money.
