This high-detail miniature depicts a Vexid Hive-Guard, an elite alien sharpshooter, mounted on a massive War Beetle.
The Vexid Hive-Guards are the elite protectors of the deep-desert hives. Mounted on colossal, bio-engineered War Beetles, these sharpshooters patrol the shifting sands, defending their subterranean colonies from intruders. Their heavy-caliber rifles fire toxic darts that can penetrate all but the thickest armor, making them a formidable foe for any adventuring party or rival faction.
This model is perfect for sci-fi wargaming (as a proxy for Tyranids, etc.) or as a unique monster in your TTRPG campaign (like Dungeons & Dragons, Starfinder, or Traveller).
The model features intricate details, from the rider's armor and high-tech rifle to the complex, textured carapace of its beetle mount and the swirling organic base.
Print Instructions
- Layer Height: For maximum quality, a 0.08mm or 0.12mm layer height is recommended.
- Supports: This model requires Tree (Organic) supports for the best results with minimal cleanup.
- Support Placement: Pay close attention to placing supports under the following areas:
- The barrel and scope of the rider's rifle
- The rider's chin/helmet and backpack
- The beetle's mandibles and head overhangs
- Any significant overhangs on the beetle's main body
