Shadow's color separation is much more complex than Sonic's. Configuration 1 is arranged with 5 colors on separate plates (5 plates, one color per plate). Configuration 2 uses merged plates, printed part by part using AMS, to simplify the printing process (plate 1 is white-flesh-gold, plate 2 is red-black)
