Description

The 200mm Vertical Spire Challenge! (P1S/P1P/A1/H2D/H2S/Stability Torture Test)

How stable is your Bambu Lab

 3D Printer?

Think your Bambu Lab perfectly tuned? This simple 200mm tall, 2mm thin spire is the ultimate torture test for vertical stability and vibration.

As the print gets taller, the print head's small movements can create resonance, causing the thin tower to wobble. This test is designed to push your printer and its vibration compensation to the absolute limit.

Will you get a perfect 200mm needle, or will it snap off?

🔧 The Challenge

  • Model Height: 200mm
  • Model Thickness: 2mm
  • Primary Test: Stability, vibration, and bed adhesion.
  • Goal: Successfully print the entire 200mm spire without it breaking, detaching from the bed, or showing severe layer shifts/artifacts at the top.

⚠️ Print Recommendations (Read Before Printing!)

  1. BED ADHESION IS CRITICAL! Clean your build plate thoroughly with warm soap and water before printing.
  2. STABLE SURFACE. Ensure your printer is on a very stable, solid table or surface. Any external wobbles will guarantee failure.
  3. WATCH IT CLOSELY. This is a torture test for a reason. Keep an eye on it, especially as it passes the 75% mark!

Post Your Makes!

Did your printer pass the test? At what height did it fail (if it did)? Post a picture of your results—I want to see how high you can go!
