Do you not have a window near your 3D printer to vent the exhaust air

Then you might find a solution in this filter system

The filter system is based on a commercially available LEVOIT Core 300 (s) filter. The filters are actually designed to draw air from the outside into their interior. In this case, we use it the other way around. The exhaust fan on your 3D printer (must be present) blows the air into the filter

There are several variants of these filters available. For the best possible protection, I recommend the Toxin filter (green) with HEPA and activated carbon. The LEVOIT filters are already sealed at the bottom, so only a lid with a suitable connection needs to be printed

For this, I have designed a lid with a connection adapter for a standard 80 mm and 100 mm exhaust hose

To avoid supports during printing, the adapter is designed in 2 parts. The larger part is the lid for the filter. The smaller one is the connection for the exhaust pipe

Assembly:

  1. Apply an adhesive bead to the ring at the lower end of the smaller component (for the hose connection)
  2. Push both parts together reversed, so that on one side are the retaining clips for the air filter (large retaining clip ring) and on the other side are the clips for the 80 mm hose (small retaining clip ring). See the attached photos for this
  3. Let everything dry for a while
  4. The 80 mm/100 mm hose can simply be pushed onto the adapter. The adapter is designed so that the retaining clip ring holds the hose securely. Alternatively, it can also be secured with a hose clamp
  5. Place the lid on the opening of the filter and press it onto the filter until it locks into place and the seal on the filter closes tightly with the lid

Required Materials:
- LEVOIT Core 300 or Core 300S filter. I recommend the Toxin filter (green) with HEPA and activated carbon
