Description

This test allows you to check the printer's printing accuracy and the offset you need to consider in your models.

It helped me a lot when designing, but you need to understand the difference between tolerance and offset. :)

If you have a circle with a diameter of 10 and you offset it by 1, you'll have a second circle with a diameter of 12 because the program usually offsets by line, not diameter. Now, the tolerance is 2 because 12-10 = 2, and the offset is 1. Very simplified, but if you haven't heard of it before, it should help :)

How the test works:

Three solids were designed without offsets, e.g., the cylinder in the design has a diameter of 10mm. The holes were also made to a diameter of 10mm, but then I added an offset, e.g., 0.1mm, which gives a 0.2mm tolerance relative to the overall dimensions. After printing, take these solids and insert them into the holes upside down (because the print from the bed side is always slightly wider). When they fit perfectly, you'll know what tolerance to use in your design. In the lowest row, the tolerance is 0.4 mm, which means the column in the center has been reduced in diameter by 0.2 mm (moved inward by -0.1 mm), and the outer diameter of the hole has been increased by 0.2 mm (moved outward by 0.1 mm). It's the same with the triangles.
