Ikea Skadis Shaft Rack
Print Profile(1)

Description
I have for a long time been wanting to store my airsoft vertically on my ikea skadis, stacked side by side like in a gun rack, but wall mounted.
Below i have made a list of needs and reminders.
I have printed it in ABS, no bending or other visable indication towards a fragile construction, holds extremely strong.
My assortment of airsoft weighs from real steel 4-6 kg's to 1kg replica.
Mid read note: you have to install the screws from behind the skadis plate WITH flat washers, the bigger diameter the better, as the plate will not hold up if you only use screws.
I used ABS, don't forget to pre-heat your chamber prior to printing to uptimize layer bonding and overall toughness of the ABS.
I wouldn't even try PLA, i don't know how PETG will hold up agains dowward weight, as PETG is more flexible than ABS.
I have upload a photo of the Skadis with red rings where i place my rack pieces, but the height is entirely up yo you, mind the space between the pieces need to be as shown to support the connection points of the shaft.
I also added zip ties to avoid the two skadis plates from bending, helping them hold a nice clean flush look.
The rack can also be used for coathangers etc.
