Description

This model lets you mount an AD210 Digital Microscope onto any microphone arm stand that uses the standard 3/8-16 thread.
It’s a simple and sturdy way to free up desk space and add flexibility to your microscope setup.

Optional: Transfer the Stock LED Lights

You can reuse the two LED lights from the original base if you’d like:

  1. Remove the two screws on the stock base.
  2. Unsolder the four wires from the control board and unthread them out.
  3. Feed the wires through the two holes in this printed model to the rear of the control board.
  4. Reinstall everything in reverse order.

Tip: The control board should fit snugly. If it’s tight, use a small pick through the grounding holes to help guide it in.

Model Variations

There are four versions of this adapter to suit your preferred mounting style:

Split Clamp (with Heat Inserts) — Recommended

  • 2 × M3 heat inserts
  • 2 × M3 screws (16 mm–20 mm length)
  • Allows the microscope to rotate more freely.

 Split Clamp

  • 2 × M3 screws
  • Simpler design, still secure.

 Retaining Screw (with Heat Inserts)

  • 2 × M6 heat inserts
  • Reuse the two stock base screws (they have plastic tips to protect the microscope).

 Retaining Screw

  • No additional hardware required.
  • Tip: Tap out the holes with a standard M6 screw first to make threading the thumb screws easier.
