🐸 Tree Frog Light Switch Plate – Sculpted STL for Artistic Home Decor

Bring the rainforest to your wall! This highly detailed 3D printable light switch cover features a lifelike tree frog sculpted in full anatomical glory, clinging playfully to the plate as if mid-leap. Designed for standard toggle switches, this piece transforms a mundane fixture into a miniature work of art—perfect for nature lovers, amphibian fans, or anyone looking to add a splash of whimsy to their space.

🧠 Design Highlights:

  • Realistic Frog Anatomy: The frog’s limbs wrap organically around the switch opening, with carefully modeled toes, pads, and joints. Its body curves naturally along the plate’s vertical edge, giving the illusion of motion and grip.
  • Expressive Sculpting: From the bulging eyes and subtle nostrils to the textured skin folds and muscular hind legs, every detail is crafted to evoke the charm and agility of a real tree frog.
  • Functional Fit: Designed to snugly fit standard U.S. toggle switch plates. Mounting holes are pre-modeled for easy installation.
  • Print-Friendly Geometry: Optimized for FDM and resin printers with minimal overhangs. Recommended layer height: 0.12–0.2mm. No supports required if printed flat.
  • Customizable Canvas: Paint it vibrant green, rainforest red, or poison dart blue! The sculpted surface takes acrylics and washes beautifully for post-processing.

🛠️ Suggested Print Settings:

  • Printer Type: FDM or resin
  • Layer Height: 0.12–0.2mm
  • Supports: Optional (none required if printed flat)
  • Material: PLA, PETG, or resin
  • Dimensions: Fits standard toggle switch plate (approx. 70mm x 115mm)

Never bothered attempting to print this due to the poorly made model. Gaps and unlevel symmetry make this not worth it until this is fixed. Stop AI-ing crap if you can't edit the models to improve the printing process.

looks fine to me dude... And if you have specific issues, why not open it in Bambu Studios and add negative modifiers and slice it flat yourself with scaling??? Maybe that might be "worth your time"? Helping the community, instead of whatever you call this message?

Any Orca Slicer should be reasonable, and every slicer shows that terrible gap. Why not fix your OWN product and stop taking my response as offensive and actually do good for your product?

it came out... fairly good. Except the gap around the edges is pretty bad and I haven't bothered to fix it so I lowkey just wasted filament. It's cute but if I knew it was AI I wouldn't have printed it ._.
