Piolet trigger or handle
Description:
A trigger (or trigrest) on an ice axe or piolet is a small adjustable support or hook placed on the handle.
It helps improve grip and control, especially when climbing steep ice or mixed terrain, by allowing the climber to rest the hand or fingers and pull more securely on the axe.

Models:
There are 2 variants:
- 22mm wide for CT piolet
- 23mm wide for old Charlet moser piolet
Printing Details:
- File format: STL
- Printer type: FDM (Resin has not been attempted)
- Material: ABS recommended (for durability)
- Layer height: 0.2 mm
- Infill: 80% is sufficient
- Supports: Required
- Raft/Brim: Small
- Print orientation: Flat side down (As shown on the image)
Post-Processing (optional):
- Take out support material
- Light sanding for smoother grip
- Tighten with M5 screw and SELFLOCKING nut with a pair of washer in between.
Testing:
If printed correctly it is very tough.
It has been tested on the Alps.
However use it as your own risk, be safe.
