Description

I'm going to upload the final version of the O4 light canopy today, bro!

I first thought the stock canopy of the Meteor75 Pro looked great, so I just kept using it. But after dealing with a bunch of little inconveniences, I started redesigning it, printing it, updating it, and updating it again. And now… the final version! I don’t think there will be any more upgrades after this. From now on, I’ll probably use this canopy for all my O4 Lite units!

There are little bumps on the inside that hold the lens firmly in place without any extra hardware. It’s a bit tight the first time you pop it in, but once you push it in with a bit of force, it gets easier afterward. Since it’s made of TPU, taking the lens out is no problem at all.

The best material to print this with is FPLA. I’m not sure what other countries call the filament used for printing those airless basketballs, but here in Korea we call it Flexible PLA, or FPLA. I highly recommend printing this canopy with that filament. I designed the frame connection to use either M1.6 or M2.0 bolts, and if you use a very soft-shore TPU, it won’t hold firmly. So yeah… I’m recommending the same filament used for airless basketballs not once, but twice!

And FPLA doesn’t really break easily. It’s insanely tough. The layer adhesion and elasticity are so good that people literally use it to print basketballs, so you really don’t need to worry about durability. The only downside is that it’s a bit on the heavier side… but that’s about it!
