Description

Please read the description!

It’s time again to release a brand-new model of my Organizer Box — and here it is: the Organizer Box XL Pro!

This version has been refined even further. One of the most requested features was to prevent the boxes from sliding out of the holder — and that’s now solved with a brand-new locking mechanism. The sliders have also been completely redesigned; they now work even smoother, and you’ll probably find yourself opening and closing them just for fun — they make such a satisfying sound!

The only downside is that this version requires M3 heat-set inserts and M3 screws, so please check the Material List in the Assembly Instructions beforehand (In Download Folder Below). The big advantage, however, is that the Organizer Box is now easy to repair in case a slider ever breaks — though that hasn’t happened so far. This box has already been in use for about a year and still works perfectly.

This model is not compatible with gridfinity!

All inserts from the previous versions are still fully compatible but the new Pro Box isn’t compatible with the old Holder (the pro Version has a new guide). But all Holders are all stackable as always. This organizer box (XL Pro Version) has a lockable sliding mechanism. The boxes can be stored in a holder with up to 4 pieces. You can connect the holders with connectors in any direction and thus hold them all together. Inserts are available in all sizes. The box should only be placed directly on the table and not mounted to the wall, as it is made of plastic.

However, there’s one more important note! The Holder barely fits into a CoreOne or X1C, and I wasn’t able to print it myself since I don’t have access to one of these printers. So please be aware: the Holder might warp slightly on the print bed.

👉 Use a brim and turn off your printer’s side fan if it has one!

(Once again — I was only able to print the Holder on larger print beds. On smaller ones, I couldn't test it, so you’ll have to decide for yourself whether you want to give it a try!)

I hope you enjoy the new version of my Organizer Box — have fun printing and assembling it! There won't be a Double Box version of this model for now!

You need at least a 3D-printer with a bed size of 250x210x 220mm or above that!

ℹ️Here are my tipps for printing! Please use these values, as I have adapted my models to these and only so I can guarantee that everything works perfectly!!! Tipps and values:

  • Filament: PLA recommended (PETG also works)
  • Quality (Layer Height): 0,2mm / 0,12mm for the Sign
  • Wall Loops: 3
  • Infill: 15% (the Handle and the ConnectingPiece for the Holder must be printed in 100% Infill)
  • Infill pattern: Doesn't matter (I used Rectilinear)
  • Supports: Yes! Manual Supports! I Painted them on for you!
  • Wall generator: For all Inserts Arachne!!! For all other parts Classic!!!
  • Print the parts as they are already oriented
PLA (Just a recommendation)PETG (Just a recommandation)TPU (Just a recommandation)

(About 600g of Filament usage)

Lid, Slider Left, Slider Right, Sign, Slider Right Holder, Slider Left Holder

(About 2000g of Filament usage)

Holder, Bottom, Sliding Block, Sliding Block Right Holder, Sliding Block Left Holder

Inserts

Connecting Piece, HandleFeets

Please make sure that the parts come not loose while printing them. When this happens it could be that the function of my sliding mechanism does not work perfectly! It's just a recommendation, if the parts should hold well on your plate, you don't necessarily have to use a brim. You can add a brim to the:

  • Lid
  • Bottom
  • Organizer Holder

---------------------------------------------------

ℹChanges and added models:

  • 02.01.2026 = Added an Adjusted Handle for the Holder + Fixing Handle (New Model made)
  • 31.01.2026 = Fixed both Handles (Added Fillet)
Problems that have occurredHow to solve them
Sliders are to difficult to moveTake a look in the Downloads Folder (Adjusted Parts) and Print them again! They have been adjusted to fix this problem!
filament won't fit through the hingesdrill out the hinges if you can (be very careful that you don't take to much away!) because the filament must sit a little tight in the hole, otherwise the hinge will not work correct and the filament can fall out of the hinge!
Handle falls out of HolderTake a look in the Downloads Folder (Adjusted Parts) and Print it again! This Handle has been adjusted!

Im totally new to 3dprinting and i still have a big learning curve ahead. yet, i already start with this project since the box looks so nice for my small drone and r/c parts. already tried to print plate 4 with petg and PLA settings so took me 3 days to figure out why it didnt work XD Still tweaking around with temperature and setting but getting there. the blue parts came loose a bit, redoing them now. As said, for my first printjobs i still have much to learn.. Anyway great design, love it, will make it work :) anyway, whats the best fillament to use for the parts. i do have Petg, PLA and TPU...

Well, you’ve definitely taken on quite a challenge 😅. It’s certainly not easy, that’s true. I would recommend starting with PLA, because the material is much more forgiving. PETG, on the other hand, doesn’t behave as nicely, it tends to have weaker adhesion and is more prone to warping, especially on larger flat surfaces.

thnx for the reply. just managed to wreck plate 6 again XD. almost made it to the end with PLA. what can i do to the hinge if left and right do not line up properly? connecting the blue lid to the black box (left, right from plate 1 and 4)

The hinge is one of the most critical parts of the print. If the pieces don’t align perfectly, it becomes very difficult, sometimes nearly impossible to assemble them. So far, no one else has had this issue, which means I unfortunately can’t give you a specific solution on how to fix it in this case.

Actually a really great box, only this handle is still trash. If anyone grabs it, the box will definitely fall off and then it's scrap and 5 million screws gone too Baked in the H2D with Geeetech PETG Black, PLA silk Copper, PLA silk Bronze and the whole thing scaled to 122.22%!

Have you already taken a look at the Adjusted Parts folder? There’s a reinforced version of the handle in there in case the standard handle doesn’t suit you.

when I click on H2D in the profile row above, there is no longer a reinforced handle I assumed that the new handle was added to the old files and the handle is only extra for those who had still printed the old box! the handle itself is definitely stable, it doesn't break either, it just bends so far that it then slips out when the boxes are all full, a few kilos add up!

The adjusted profile should definitely include a reinforced handle that does not bend easily. The other profiles only contain the standard handle.

Thank you for sharing your awesome work. I’m still working on my setup, but wanted to share some pictures. I made a couple of small adjustments to suit my setup. The holder printed just fine on my P2S.

I had been wanting a nice organizer for a while, but none had really appealed to me until I discovered this one This one is really well thought out and constructed I haven't finished all the parts yet, but what's already done fits perfectly The print profile is very good 👍 I do have a suggestion and a personal wish Would it be possible to also create a double-height drawer That would be really great and would leave nothing to be desired even for taller parts

I love it! I still have the 4 TPU pads to print, but I can give my opinion Just so you know, I only used my smooth plate, except for the lid which has a textured plate with effect I don't know why my nozzle rubbed on the bottom of all the inserts during printing, which makes the surface a bit uneven (and puts plastic a bit everywhere around the printer) but overall it's not a problem However, I don't know if it's from the G-Code or something else, but the other prints on my smooth plate had no problems Regarding the hinges, those on the base are perfect but those on the lid are a bit obstructed on each side I turned a very small screwdriver to clear the passage at the ends and it almost went in by itself (you get the hang of it) For everything else it's ... Really great, thanks again for sharing 😊 EDIT: I used M3x5x4.2 threaded inserts

A breeze to print using PETG HF. I was apprehensive about heated inserts, but also far easier than expected.
