Description

Hello all!

I designed this from scratch to be able to bike to beach without need of taking the metal heavy scoop with me. This one is super light, mounted on 28mm diameter stick. It's not for digging deep holes as it will break if you put too much pressure on it but it will work suprisingly well on dry sand. And being super light it makes the beach metal detecting super fun even for kids.

There are 3 plated to be printed, I tried to make it as big as possible while printing on p1s. The assembly requires no glueing, you simply snap the parts together. I may redesign the stick mount but every previous no-screw versions broke fast.

The main part you snap on one side first, starting from the back and then the other side. I printed it with PLA and it worked out better then PETG. PETG snapped on the bent piece but PLA (as you can see on the photos) worked very well.

I used 5mm screws to lock the stick in place.

Have fun!

Do you think about updating it? Make it more resistant perhaps

it's not meant to do the heavy digging. I wanted it to be light so it can be used with one hand quickly. I was able to pick several targets with it before actually looking inside the scoop. It's not meant to be used on wet sand or water :)
