RedSpot - Visual Focus Point for Phone Recording
Print Profile(1)

Bill of Materials
- Smartphone Filter Adapter with 67mm thread (e.g., from Neewer, K&F Concept, or SmallRig) x 1:
- Metal Step-Down Ring (72mm → 67mm, e.g., from K&F Concept) x 1:
Description
For people in front of the camera, the small smartphone lens is barely visible. With increasing distance, it becomes even more difficult to identify the exact position of the lens. The result: eye contact misses the camera slightly and direct eye contact is lost in the recording.
Solution
RedSpot is a high-visibility colored ring that serves as an unmistakable visual anchor point. It threads into the 67mm filter thread of a smartphone adapter.
Requirement: A smartphone filter adapter with 67mm thread (e.g., from Neewer, K&F Concept, or SmallRig) - this attaches to the back of the smartphone and enables the mounting of the RedSpot ring.
Available Variants
RedSpot Direct 67 mm
- 67mm male thread for direct mounting
RedSpot 72 mm
- 72mm male thread
- Designed for combination with an affordable metal step-down ring (72mm → 67mm, e.g., from K&F Concept)
- Protects plastic threads during frequent mounting/dismounting
- Metal adapter bears the mechanical load
RedSpot 72/67 mm
- 72mm male thread, 67mm female thread
- Designed for combination with an affordable metal step-down ring (72mm → 67mm)

Design Features
- Optimized for FDM printing
- Precision filter threads to industry standard (0.75mm pitch) - precise fit while protecting your filter adapter

Additional Download: USDZ File for Augmented Reality
A USDZ file is available as an additional download. This enables AR visualization of the model and allows virtual placement of the object in real space using your smartphone or tablet camera. This way you can evaluate size, proportions, and spatial appearance before 3D printing.
The USDZ format is natively supported on Apple devices such as iPhone and iPad, without requiring additional software. Users of Android, Windows, or other platforms need a USDZ-compatible viewer such as Adobe Aero or Blender with the appropriate plugin for AR visualization
The AR preview is particularly helpful for checking actual dimensions relative to the intended application and evaluating how the model will look in the real environment before printing.
