Description

Box for RAM stick with cover. Cover in 2 version: a) with text b) clean - no text.

You can use just the box without the pickup.

Design tested on DDR3, DDR4, and DDR5 modules. Although DDR2 and DDR5 modules should also work.

EDIT 2.04.2026 r.
Version 2 - a taller RAM box, up to 5 cm high.
The lid slides all the way to the top, including the front.
The result is a closed box.

what do you do about the static buildup?

I expect you’d want to print this is some ESD-safe material like the Fiberon PETG-ESD, 3DXtech’s PLA-ESD, or Protopasta’s ESD-safe PLA.

Grounding during handling Commercial DIMM trays usually do not have their own ESD protection either

I've never noticed static discharge issues with commercial packaging, but most of my prints absolutely have a static charge. Primarily PLA.

love the base piece. it's well designed, and works great. the lid/cover though is a bit flimsy and doesn't fit the best.

nice print! however, some of my ram modules have a heat shield that covers the top edges and the modules don't fully sit in the slot - so the top can't be put on.

The design was more thoughtfully designed for modules in office computers, as a support for office IT support. These RAM modules were my model.
