Dingyuan Zhenyuan Battleships 1:2000

The Dingyuan ship was the flagship of the Qing Dynasty's Beiyang Fleet, built by Germany's Vulcan Shipyard, and its sister ship, the Zhenyuan, was also built.

The ship was 94.5 meters long, with a standard displacement of 7220 tons, equipped with 4 x 305mm main guns, 2 x 150mm secondary guns, 3 torpedo tubes, and its waterline armor was 355mm thick. At the time, it was known as "Asia's premier battleship."

In 1894, the First Sino-Japanese War broke out. In the Battle of the Yalu River on September 17, the Dingyuan's main guns hit the Japanese flagship Matsushima, causing an ammunition magazine explosion and forcing it to withdraw from combat. The Dingyuan was hit 159 times, and one main gun on its left barbette was destroyed. The Zhenyuan was hit 220 times. Due to their heavy armor, neither ship lost combat capability. However, ammunition was insufficient. For purchased warships, ammunition also had to be purchased. In its later period, the Qing government even stopped purchasing ammunition. On February 5, 1895, the Dingyuan was ambushed by Japanese torpedo boats, hit in the stern, and ran aground. On the 10th, the Dingyuan was scuttled, and its captain Liu Buchan committed suicide as a martyr. On the 11th, Zhenyuan's acting captain Yang Yonglin committed suicide as a martyr. On February 17, the Japanese occupied Liugong Island, the Beiyang Fleet was annihilated, and surviving Chinese warships such as the "Zhenyuan" were captured by the Japanese.

After the defeat in the First Sino-Japanese War, the Qing government signed the humiliating Treaty of Shimonoseki with Japan. The treaty included ceding the Liaodong Peninsula, Taiwan Island and its affiliated islands, and the Pescadores Islands to Japan, further exacerbating China's century of humiliation in modern history.

The 1:2000 model of the Dingyuan-class ironclad is very small, less than 5cm in length. Based on online information, I offer two color schemes for the multicolor version, you can choose your favorite to print.

The hull bottom and the hull can each be fitted with two 4x1mm magnets, using magnetic connection, or using the 4X2mm cylindrical connectors provided in the hull bottom profile.

I have made multiple modifications and print tests for the front and rear masts and adopted the current simplified method (otherwise it would be difficult to print and assemble). The print profile provides two sets of masts, in case printing might fail. After printing, simply insert the front and rear masts into the corresponding holes. If installation is not smooth, the holes on the ship can be slightly trimmed with a small knife
