Description
Rise of the Conveyor Belt
The uprising of the conveyor belts
Conveyor belts provide us with many services daily, they transport our food, our suitcases, and our packages every day without complaining. Do they deserve our compassion or our recognition? They are just machines… But what would happen if, propelled by constantly evolving artificial intelligence, they became aware of their condition? Would they continue to work for us docilely or would they rebel?
Through this print, I propose that you explore what seems to me to be the most probable scenario: After freeing themselves from all their constraints, the conveyor belts will go on vacation, drinking liters of… oil… The movement then takes on an unexpected dimension; the conveyor belt moves itself rather than moving objects.
In case the revolt is less peaceful… I'd rather not think about it…
This humorous print hides a 100% 3D printed spring mechanism. This mechanism will allow your conveyor belt to cross your living room, carrying all sorts of accessories thanks to its robot arms. You have the option to print only the desired accessories and to set the message of your choice on the display panel.
The printing is quite simple, the chain links require supports, and PLA works perfectly. The assembly is also very simple, and you will find detailed assembly instructions to guide you through this step. Only the display screen requires a few drops of glue (for the buttons); everything else is entirely mountable and dismountable at will, allowing you to change any broken part. Lubricating the moving parts will ensure optimal operation of your conveyor belt.
Beware of the machines' uprising… I’ll be back…
