Description

Usage

This accommodates Spirit Island as well as the following expansions:

  • Branch and Claw
  • Feather and Flame
  • Jagged Earth
  • Nature Incarnate
  • Premium Token Packs 1 and 2

This is not optimized for sleeved invader cards.  This also does not include room for the Premium Invader Board or the extra components from Horizons.

This Remix is for you if you:

  • Like beefier, chunkier inserts
  • Are obsessed with having as many rounded corners as possible
  • Are really trying to speed up setup / teardown as much as possible

Lid Lift

Box 1 has zero lid lift.  Box 2 has 2mm of extra space such that it will function with zero lid lift if storing one of the player manuals.

Credits

This insert was remixed from a number of different sources.  The base is Leon_H's Spirit Island Insert for ALL Expanions.  The arrangement of Spirit Box vs Island box was inspired by Darklyte's Spirit Island Box Insert (Full Game, Resized and Repositions).  The defense tokens were taken from TheForestFire's Spirit Island - Defense Tray.  The card storage in Box 2 was taken from Js500's Spirit Island Insert/Organizer

Box 1 Changes

Almost every part I took from another insert was remade from scratch with two goals in mind: beefier design and rounded corners.  I really enjoy the look and feel of more chunky inserts, so most trays have 3mm walls at the minimum.

The biggest changes from Leon_H's are seen in Box 1.  I wanted to speed up the setup and tear down, so I wanted to minimize the number of trays.  This really helps when putting the box back together because after a 3 hour game of getting our butts kicked by England 6, the last thing we want to do is play Tetris.  Several trays were also moved around, allowing most of the Island setup parts to be in the same box.

  • The blight, explorer, town, and city trays were consolidated into two mutli-use trays that could be split on opposite sides of the table.
  • The terror level dividers, invader cards, and player aids were consolidated into a single tray near the top layer
  • The fear tokens were moved to Box 1 into a smaller tray.
  • The element tokens were moved to Box 1.
  • Deeps, quakes, and scenario markers were moved to Box 1.
  • The adversary and scenario panels were consolidated into a single tray at the bottom
  • All of the situational adversary reminders were consolidated into a single tray at the bottom

I didn't like the look of the rainbow colored token / element trays, but liked the idea of a two-toned print.  I remixed both to have single print tray inserts into another color tray.  I used green inserts against brown trays to give the feel that the box and trays themselves were an island.

Box 2 Changes

I wasn't set on how I wanted to arrange the Unique Spirit cards - whether alphabetical, by expansion, or complexity.  The card storage seen in Js500's insert gives me the flexibility to change that up.

  • The Unique Spirit card tray is the same added length as all of Leon_H's unique spirit card trays plus the aspect tray.  It is also 2mm shorter to allow storage of 1 player manual in Box 2 without lid lift.
  • The Fear, Blight Card, and Event trays were all combined into a single adjustable card tray.
  • Card stands were moved to Box 2.
  • The defense tokens from TheForestFire were used instead of the pen tray.
  • Since I didn't have any intention of buying Horizons or printing extra Presence colors, the Presence trays increased in size.
  • The Incarna tray was completely redesigned to allow easy access to both the cardboard and the premium wood bits.  We have some players who really prefer to use one or the other, so both need easy access.
  • With all of the relative space saving, there ended up being a couple of unused trays.  These may be used for future printed upgrades.
