I created this splice out of the need to quickly and solderlessly connect the LED strip to the wiring. This model works for strips with 4 contacts and also for strips with 2 contacts, as long as they are 10mm wide.
It's best to glue the bottom part of the strip and wire to the connector to prevent it from coming loose.
I am new to modeling and printing, so any suggestions and improvements are welcome.
I hope it helps those who need it, just as I needed it here..lol

  • The part with the embossed “L” is where the LED strip goes.
  • The part of the lid with a higher protrusion is the part that presses the wires to make contact with the LED strip connectors.

Soldering it wouldn't take a second longer than this and be so much more secure though

Good afternoon I made this model because some people do not know how to solder but it does hold up I use LED strip lights and it does not get hot

I'm rather sure this won't hold long unless you solder it ;)

Welding is the best solution, some people don't know how to weld, if you glue the tape to the connector and the wires, it won't come off either

What are the specs on those wires and the best place to get them? I would like to use this for a light box I am currently printing. Thanks

I like this alot. you can still solder if you like and this print is still good. if not you can still manage a connection. This print doesn't say dont solder its just an option.

it would be super cool to have a custom PCB to bridge the strips.

These strips can get fairly hot . Are you printing in PLA ? I guess in part as the strip is not in the print much it’s holding out but curious all the same
