Description

UPDATE: Added a new profile with an extended arm and a hanger for a tree

No extra hardware required, just printed parts. Pictures updated with the long arm hooked to a tree!

The Grinch is coming to steal Christmas!!!!

Here it is a simple decoration to put next to your tree or as a wreath at your door! It's designed to be printed in parts and then glued together to minimise time and filament waste.

I also provide a tiny version ready to put on your fridge. It uses a single 10x3mm magnet.

For the ball on the big one, it's hollow and split in a press fit halves, you can add a tealight in there.

For both of them, use a thread to hang the ball between the fingers.
WARN: Be careful removing the tiny hand supports from the thumb nail, as it's a bit fragile.

Hope you like it! Merry Christmas!! (Before it gets stolen! :D)

The least I could do ;) Yeah, we... Well, my wife chose the Apple green for a big version (is printing right now). I the the most fitting color would be a mix of both Apple green and leaf green.

Very nice! I extended the arm a bit so it could go into a tree.

Nice job! Looks awesome! I thought to make it longer, but didn't want to make it so filament expensive. Probably will add a profile for tree decoration! Thank you for the picture!

This thing is awesome! The tolerance is a bit loose, but nothing some CA glue & clamps can't fix! The wifey absolutely loves it and can't wait to put it on the wall next to the tree.

weird request but can you remove the fingernails? I have no idea how easy/hard that is but I love your design most and the fingernails are throwing me off haha. Love the idea of the tree hook!

I'm new to printing so I have no idea how to do that haha. Thank you. Let me know if you get around to it. I'm printing a bunch of Christmas stuff before I put everything up for the year haha.

I printed the Grinch hand in 2 sizes. Both times without any problems. It looks great and is a heartwarming Christmas decoration

I made the magnet version. I had the wrong size magnets, but was able to scale it up nicely to fit what I had. My kids love walking by the fridge and swing the ball.

Came out fantastic! I did some experimenting with it and did variable layer height and fuzzy skin on the cuff. If you choose to print it in this manner use strong supports. Default is too thin for the finger and it will break during printing. Added magnets to attach the whole thing to the fridge. With this size of print you need to put a thin layer of silicone sealer on the base to keep it from sliding down on the metal surface you put it on.
