After the success of the American Football Player, I decided to create a Baseball Player — introducing The Phillies Baseball Player! There are three plate options available for customizing your own baseball team. The model requires AMS, but it’s optimized to minimize printing time and filament waste.

This is a 🔥set. 100% recommend. My only issue was sometimes with adding the “use surface” for the logo on the hat, my app would sometimes crash on my Mac Mini M2 Pro. I would suggest following the video the creator links and position the logo first, then resize and then “use surface”. Also doesn’t hurt to save the project periodically just in case the app does crash lol. Regardless, I blame this on the app itself, but this build is 100% worth it. Thanks again! Will build more for some friends to Xmas.

How did you manage to prevent the black on the head from distorting

im sorry but im not sure what you mean. the black parts for the head were printed seperately and I was able to slide them in to the head with no issues and glue them in

The print turned out great. I love the head/face and have used it for other Lego prints because the ones using AMS always leave faint black lines on the faces so I much prefer yours! The only thing that was off in size was the glove was way too big and looked silly with the size of the guy. It “fit” but just looked huge, so I printed it smaller and rigged it to still fit and it looked much better at this size! Thank you!

Hey! Unfortunately I looked everywhere and don't have the file anymore. I have so many things I end up deleting them. I'm sorry, I wish I could help!

I don’t have a Bambu so I had to kinda fumble my way through getting stuff to convert over but happy with the result! Thank you for sharing! Going to do one for my daughter next!

The model looks nice but the seam on the head is so obvious. I dont know what slicer software you are using but recommend hide that seam by setting the seam align at the Back of the head.

Yeah, I realized that after it was printed. I changed that setting on the basketball girl I printed for my daughter and it came out much better. Still new to all this and learning as I go lol. Thanks again!

Hi @billlab , do you have a AMS head print file that fits your ball player? My son wants another one but the small pieces on the face are hard for me to get in place and would rather just print all in place. Thank you in advance!

Thank you for these! We scaled them at 40% and they will work perfectly for my 6th graders diaroma project!

Thanks for sharing! Btw, did you have any tolerance issue at 40% scale?

Some, the face was way too small to be able to put on. The leg assembly was too loose to stay in the torso, so I needed to glue the legs to the torso. Otherwise it worked well for what we needed!

So easy to customize. I did cut the glove from the peg that attaches it and then scaled down the glove a little (I did all this in Bambu Slicer and was still able to print it as one piece). I also took the legs into Tinkercad and added a non AMS recessed stripe down the leg to match the uniforms.

I can’t rate this high enough! My first ‘big’ project and it went absolutely flawless. I love how easy it was to edit (my first time as well). I dated into a baseball family and they loved it!

This is such a great design, and I really appreciate that the designer has made it customizable. They have also provided a detailed video on how to make the changes, which I truly appreciate. Funny enough, I found the video before the model when I was looking to figure out how to incorporate svg’s into something else. This then led me to the model, which I used to create a player for a fictional Baseball Team. I also appreciate that the designer replied and provided help with my questions.
