Clean, safe, clever – my enclosed exhaust system for 3D printers efficiently filters dust and odors with HEPA filters and activated carbon pellets. The integrated poop bin catches excess printing material and keeps your printing area clean.

Update: Optimization for Bambu Lab X2D – Improved Airflow

This update extends the existing air purification system for the Bambu Lab P2S and adapts it to the new Bambu Lab X2D.

The X2D has an additional or modified opening in the rear of the enclosure. To effectively integrate this into the airflow, the design has been revised accordingly:

Changes:

  • Integration of an additional mesh/grille area in the rear part
  • Optimized airflow so that the additional opening is also actively integrated into the filter system
  • Improved airflow towards HEPA filter and activated carbon filter
  • More even intake of exhaust air across the entire rear

Advantages:

  • More efficient filtering of particles and odors
  • Better utilization of the existing enclosure openings of the X2D
  • More constant airflow through the entire filter system

The system remains fully compatible with the previous setup and can still be operated with the same filter components.

 

Note:
The adaptation was developed specifically for the airflow of the X2D and improves the overall performance of the filter system, especially with materials with increased emissions.
