Multi-Colour Heart Locket (No AMS Needed!)

My school was staging a production of Anne, and the team needed a locket prop. I could not find a design that looked right, so I decided to create one myself.

I wanted it to be multi-colour, but my AMS (Bambu’s multi-color system) broke, so I created this heart-shaped locket that can be printed in two colours without AMS. The two-tone effect is achieved by separating the pattern layer from the locket body. To print in multi-colour, simply add a manual pause after the first 2–3 layers, swap filament, and resume the print.

For example, in Bambu Studio using the Standard 0.2 mm profile, you can pause at 0.6 mm. The printer will stop once the first two layers are done, you change filament, press continue, and you will get the same result shown in the photos.

The locket is held closed by friction. It may feel slightly tight the first time you open it, but after a few openings it loosens up and works smoothly.
