Description

Custom air intake housing I designed for my facelift E39 520i. Is designed to fit the Biltema "150mm air filter” (article number: 32-322 and 32-323).

Requires: 4x M10 wing nuts, 4x M10 nuts, 4x M10x40mm bolts

It was originally intended to be made out of PAHT-CF, but due to material shrinkage and unpredictability, I switched to generic ABS.

ANYBODY WHO USES THIS BE WARNED: Use at your own risk. I am still testing it in real life. ABS does not have great heat resistance, but so far it seems to hold up just fine. I would recommend keeping the stock housing and the necessary tools to swap them out in the car's boot/trunk, just in case it melts. The car will still run fine if it the ABS melts, since the whole thing is before the MAF sensor. But you will be sucking in unfiltered & turbulent air.
