Description
Some of my most popular prints are the Igloo Hose Sprinkler v1 and v2 (https://rb.gy/nw0h1y). This one is the “fan pattern” cousin I made for the weird corners of my yard. I’m picky about my lawn and I’m also cheap, so instead of buying yet another sprinkler, I opened CAD.
The base ring keeps it from tipping over, the ribs keep it stiff, and the angled body throws a nice sheet of water exactly where you point it, with no moving parts to break. It is perfect for side yards, fence lines, and any spot where a long, narrow fan works better than a round spray.
Features
• Fan style spray pattern for narrow yards or fence lines
• Sprays up to about 15 ft at normal house pressure
• Base diameter around 4.7 in, low profile so it is hard to trip over
• Open ribbed design saves filament but stays rigid
• Integrated hose connector, no extra fittings needed
• No moving parts, and the jet holes are easy to clear with a pin or tiny drill bit
Recommended materials
I usually print these in PLA with no problems, but if your sprinkler is going to live outside full time, ABS or ASA will handle the sun and heat better.
