This is a small protective hood I designed to stop rain-blown water from getting into the receipt paper exit area on outdoor payment kiosks. Our utility kiosk was constantly having receipt jams because wind-driven rain was getting inside the printer cavity. This snap-on style cover directs water away from the slot while still allowing receipts to feed out normally. Since installing this we haven’t had any more water-caused paper jams. Perfect for outdoor kiosk deployments, drive-up bill pay stations, or unattended terminals in bad weather environments. I made the sides large enough for a lot of foam tape or enough room to drill for a more permanent solution.
Print in PETG, ABS, or ASA for best weather resistance.
