very glad I printed extra pairs because I pulled the legs off with the supports from the first one. be careful! otherwise a nice print. I also added some purge fidget items to absorb some of the excess waste from all the color changes.

How did you add the purge fidget? My daughter wants several pairs of these for her friends. I am worried about all the waste. thanks for any help!

You add a model and set it as the object to flush into.

in the prepare tab of the bambu slicer, click the icon all the way on the left, its an empty box with a plus sign at the bottom and says "add" when you hover over it. then select an already downloaded model file that is made for flushing/purging (there are tons of options on makerworld and i made myself a folder with all the ones i like so i can pick based on amount of filament i'm trying to absorb and the height i need - i'm a big fan of this one in particular and it includes a detailed set of instructions: https://makerworld.com/en/models/701489-flush-fidget-z-scales#profileId-631019) then select geometry only, move it to a good spot on the plate. then right click and check off all three options under flush options. reduce the number in flushing volumes but be careful if you have white or another light color. scale Z only up to match the height of the tallest color changes. i often add several to the plate to get the purge number under 10 g. i'd rather a pile of flushies than poop.

I printed 3 copies (6 total) using the 5 color profile. I just added a pause after the orange finished and then swapped the orange for black so the print could finish. The earrings look great. my only complaint is that the little yellow feet break off easy when removing the supports. 3 of the 12 feet broke off and I had to glue them back on. Other than that, it's a great model.

Like many of us, I'm limited to four colors. In that case, if you were to remove the black and make it the orange, we could simply pause the print after the tail is complete and replace the orange for black. Otherwise, I don't know if I can start a five color print with one ams. I just upgraded to this printer, so I'm still figuring things out.

Lucky day! I actually included both a 4-color version and a no-color version in the print profile, so everyone can get a pair that fits their printer setup. You should be good to go even with a single AMS.

I printed an extra 2 of these since another user said the supports were difficult to remove which lead to a breakage. I did not have that problem though, I just took my time and it all came out awesome. My wife loved them and she gave the extra pair to her mom.
