Description
The History
This is a reproduction of a bakelite Omega watch box from the 1930's.

Instructions
- If the rear end of the box curls up, use brim ears to help adhere the bottom surface to the plate.
Recommend Sizing:
- The box is identical in size and geometry to the original box. Keep in mind that watches in the 1930's tended to be much smaller than watches today. I would recommend increasing the size of the box to accommodate watches over 34mm in diameter.
Additional Materials:
- A paperclip: You will need a thin piece of wire to insert in the hinge. A straightened paper clip works perfectly for this. Just straightened it out and cut to size with wire cutters.
- (Optional) Yellow Paint: The original box often came with painted logos. Although not necessary, the 6th photo shows how the box can look if you paint the Omega logo gold with a fine brush.
Two Watch Bed Variants:
- The profile includes two watch bed variants. Variant 1 includes finger slots for easy removal. Variant 2 is more historically accurate, but is harder to remove (the original bed had a fabric pull tab to help remove it). Choose the variant you prefer and delete the other one. Or print them both!
