Description

I made this because the “waterproof” box I bought from Walmart still got water inside after a month outdoors. So, I designed my own! I wrapped Teflon tape around the cable for extra sealing — no screws needed since it snaps together tightly. After a 3 months of outdoor use, it stayed completely dry. I also made small stakes and glued them to the back with Gorilla Glue to keep the box elevated off the grass/ground (incase you need it, but i didn't use the stakes but maybe you get more rain than me!).

this box looks great. would be awesome if it could be customized to allow a larger item to be inside. I can’t find any box that handles covering the holes for the wires as well as this one!

oh wow, if you’re offering to make a new model I’d need it to have the internal dimensions of at least 200mm x 70mm x 40mm. the holes would be at the ends of the longest side just like your current model. And the cables have thickness of 8.2mm and the other 9.2mm. you could make them both 9.2mm and I could just add tape to the thinner one. Thank you for even considering this! pic attached for reference :)
