Description

This is a first of its kind shell for the Beckhoff EL9800 EtherCAT® Development Board. The board from factory ships with some rubber feet on the bottom, but I found these to not apply enough friction to keep it in place, and I wanted a little more protection on the bottom for all the soldered points. I've printed this in 1-shot on my H2D, and made it recently so that it irons the top layer for more uniformity. I've also gotten permission from Beckhoff and the EtherCAT Technology Group to include their logo on the print, but this is not a licensed product. As such, I went the extra mile and made sure the colors are represented accurately haha

I've printed in in PLA, specifically Translucent PLA for myself. It has fixtures for ½" OD rubber feet on the bottom, which does require support when printing. I've had the best success with well-dried Support for PLA/PETG. Additionally, it has 4 standoffs for accepting M2.5x0.45 standoffs, where I've used tapered ones that are 5.56mm long. I've included ones from Bambu below that may work, but I have not tested those so your mileage may vary. The screws I used are M2.5x5.

***While I have obtained permission from the EtherCAT Technology Group (ETG) and Beckhoff to have the EtherCAT logo on this model as well as the photos showing the EL9800 board, this is not a Officially Licensed product from the ETG nor Beckhoff. And use of the EL9800 Board is not required if you choose to print this product.***
