Description

This is my unfinished project of RC body of VW golf mk2.

The body is finished but You will need an rc components, get some plates for windows if You print the version with cutouts for them and some “glass” for lights etc.

It is in scale of 1:18 to original car. (maybe not perfectly scaled to correct size)

I wanted to build it someday but as I dont have time to finish it maybe someone here will find this helpful.

If You decide to build it then please let me know in the comments what parts You used and if possible post some photos as it may help other people who will print this.

It can be printed and used as diecast model but You will need to sand it, prime, paint, clear coat and make all the little details. The hood is modelled with thin gap so it can be popped and there can be placed detailed engine but as I say - it is unfinished project that I have no more time to spend on :(

still a lot to do and its not fully connected but ty for the work you put into this model! One of my favorite cars. if you can do a Rabbit that would be sick too.

Printed for 1/24, a lot of work. the body is really thin, even thinner scaled down ofc. but got pretty good! :)

Hello and thank you very much, I have been looking for a nice file for Golf 2 GTI models with wide bumpers for a long time. Unfortunately, mine has small errors that always create holes in the model. I also wanted to try printing it in 1:32 scale, but it is designed too thin for that. I wanted to ask if you had any tips on how I could make it a bit more stable, or how I could fix the errors? Very nice model.

hello congratulations on this magnificent work I am new to this field and I would have liked to test this model for my brother who is a fan of this vw model my 3d printer is not listed it is a tina2s weefun I would need the STL file to be able to try to print it in two parts if possible can you send it to me please

Thank you for your reply, I can't find this dropdown icon precisely to be able to select the files, so maybe on a PC and not the phone app it's different, I'll try on PC
