Description
Presented for your printing pleasure today is a 10 inch 1U rack mount for a power strip that I bought at home depot. This print can essentially make a budget PDU out of cheap power strip from home depot. I couldn't find any models similar to this on maker world and I also couldn't find any rack mountable power strips for less than $50 on amazon. I hope you find this neat!
The screw holes are meant so that you can put the head of a pan head screw into the power strip and secure it on the other side with a nut (and with washers to taste). I used a #6 x 10mm screw but I wish I had gone longer because I did not have enough threads.
I've posted the link to the power strip I used below. I also posted a parametric fusion 360 file that you can customize to fit any 1U-ish power strip that you have lying around. This is my first published model, its probably not that great. Use it and improve it.
